About your role

The Compost Yard - Phase 1 Farmhand is responsible for a variety of tasks related to the preparation, maintenance, and quality assurance of composting operations. This includes performing daily checks and maintenance on equipment, operating composting machinery, mixing and filling bunkers, as well as ensuring that all composting processes meet required standards. You will also be involved in cleaning and sanitising equipment and areas to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Additionally, Compost Yard - Phase 1 Farmhand is required to record data accurately in various systems, assist with minor maintenance and repairs, and handle incoming deliveries of raw materials. Safety, attention to detail, and maintaining a high level of cleanliness and quality throughout the composting process are key aspects of the role.

To be successful in this role, you must have strong attention to detail, physical fitness to perform labor-intensive tasks, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in plant or equipment operation is a plus, though not required.
